Here in Wyoming

Snowshoe Mountain was named for a reason. So was Copmans Tomb.

During my July visit, the reasons were not apparent but they are right now.

The current temperature at the nearest weather station shows 7F/-14C which makes this stunningly beautiful place quite inhospitable to the average human.

It makes me think about the extraordinary people who lived in or passed through the place and lived to tell about it.
