Here Comes the Sun

This session in Manhattan should have been scrubbed because of the rain. Due to a miscommunication, the subject arrived at the location anyway. Since I couldn’t reach him to confirm, I made my way to the location too.

When I arrived, he was under the only awing on the entire block.

Since he had traveled all the way from Queens, I knew that I couldn’t cancel. So we waited and waited. Finally, I just started taking photos under the awning.

I’m glad I did. The results were pretty good under the circumstance.

After the last frame and just as he was about to head out, the sky brightened for a moment.

It hardly mattered that the light lasted for only 60 seconds.

As I walked away, in the rain, a certain George Harrison song started playing. Even though I was getting wet, the sun was shining in my mind.
