Hawaii Redux
My first trip to Hawaii took place in late 2013. My arrival marked a personal milestone. It was the 50th US state in which I had worked with my cameras.
Even today, the memory of stepping off the plane and walking through the open-air terminal is as vivid today as when it happened.
In between my six sessions in Honolulu, I explored as much of Oahu as time allowed. The sights, the food, and the atmosphere were intoxicating.
When I returned to Honolulu two years later on a family vacation, I knew that I needed to add a few more street sessions to my archive. I squeezed in three, without much disruption.
This one took place near the entrance to the zoo at Waikiki, just a three-minute walk from my hotel. It was a spot that I remembered and saved for the future. On that day, the past and future met in the present and were captured by my camera.
