Guys in Ties

Just a block from Michigan Avenue on a floor that has four different views of Chicago, I spent two days photographing some very successful people.

This space had all the amenities that one would expect from such prime real estate. The espresso machine didn’t disappoint nor did my catered lunches.

What this space didn’t have was what I most desire, good light.

I was footsteps from the Magnificent Mile but the lighting couldn’t have been more inferior. With these kinds of gigs, that’s the rule, not the exception. Suffice to say, there was no magic hour on the 48th floor.

That was to be expected. Even the best corporate environments are built for business, not for beauty.

I simply had to deploy a tool that removes the gloom from the room.

My location lighting kit is quite small and capable. It got a lot of use on this project and never once let me down.
