Grandma’s Favorite

On my way out of Colorado a few days ago, I stopped in Limon to photograph a couple of artists.

These women brighten up the landscape in a way that you can’t imagine until you see it in person.

Their works are on a grand scale and turn ordinary grain silos into giant canvases for their murals.

As we were getting started, I asked how they met.

“We’re cousins!” was the reply.

Naturally, my next question was, “who is grandma’s favorite?” There was a unanimous opinion. I probably knew the answer before I asked. A favorite grandchild can always spot another favorite.
