Fresh Session: Clayton

After a couple of weeks of testing, my “new to me” Nikon D800E I decided that the camera was finally ready for a real gig.

My subject is a college student interning in St. Louis this summer for the local professional soccer team, St. Louis FC.

We made arrangements to meet in Clayton and use the center of the city as our ever-changing background. Eric, being an ambitious young man, arrived before I did.

Being early gave him some protection from an unexpected rain shower that had suddenly appeared as the meeting place had an awning. I wasn’t so lucky, but then again the wet spots on my shirt wouldn’t need retouching later.

The rain delay gave us a few minutes to chat and get to know each other a little bit before we got down to the business of the photography session.

It wasn’t long before the rain passed and we were treated to some decent June weather which made for some great portraits.
