A street session in New York for me means an abundance of opportunity.
Because there are so many things to choose from, I have to impose limits on myself to keep decision paralysis at bay. However, I find it nearly impossible not to include some pieces of the city as a background element.
This fellow is named Freddie. We started our session across the street from FIT and made our way around the Garment District for a series of portraits with my Fuji camera.
Despite having captured a number of interesting urban scenes, this simple row of horizontal boards turned out to be my favorite background.
