Field Trip: Michael @ SCC Chicago

Michael Dorich and I have too many industry intersections and overlaps to count. We’ve known each other for a pretty long time and luckily for me when I was in Chicago a few weeks ago we had some time to meet at the advertising agency Schafer Condon Carter where he is a creative director.

We had a chance to catch up on our respective projects and to tell a few stories about our respective successes on shoots in places like New Orleans and Chicago.

Michael is not only a skilled creative director, but he can handle a camera too.

It’s been my experience that the best ad agency clients can also handle themselves as photographers too. The understanding of what is required with art and craft typically allows for better results in the long run.
