Field Trip: Kim @ Missouri Manufacturers

All my life my camera has acted as a passport allowing me entry into all kinds of places and facilitating introductions to all kinds of people.

My fasciation with manufacturing has been around for my whole life as I find machinery and the men and women who operate them to be ideal subjects for photography. Lately I’ve been doing a lot of work with some Missouri manufacturers like RotoMetrics and Buse Industries just to name two.

Earlier this year I found out about Missouri Association of Manufacturers which compelled me to reach out to their CEO Kim Inman and introduce myself. My introduction lead to a meeting request, which was graciously granted. So last month when I was in Springfield on assignment I made some time to drop by. My meeting turned out to be more like a seminar on the challenges and successes of manufacturing in my home state.

It was quite an education.
