Empty Larder

There’s that terrible feeling upon arrival from time away in which you discover that the larder is empty. It’s even worse when hunger is nagging.

But is it really?

Certainly, a multi-course meal is out of the question. But if you look closely at the dry goods and maybe pull out something from the freezer, a few possibilities begin to emerge.

Today as I looked at a blank screen with a blog deadline looming, I had to improvise with some scraps and crumbs.

Observing the morning sun striking an oddly designed Mexican chair got the soup started.
