Eggshells Underfoot

How do you eat an elephant?

One bite at a time.

How do you assemble a portfolio?

If you’re thinking that the answer is, “one picture at a time” you might want to keep that to yourself. At least if you’re near a photographer who is in a state of indecision.

This is not a plea for sympathy by any means.

I’ll spare the numerous reasons why it is often the hardest creative task on a photographer’s to-do list. Or why it’s easy to put it off for another day.

When you happen upon someone deep into this process and he seems to be in a sour mood, trust your instincts and act accordingly.

Mentioning that you can’t wait to see the finished portfolio is the best way to deal with the matter.
