Director’s Cut

As the saying goes, “he who pays the band calls the tune.” That’s more than fair.

For commissioned works, I want my clients to be happy with the results. That means I’ll go out of my way to see that they get what they need and also what they want.

Sometimes those outcomes aren’t aligned. It’s my job to make sure that they get both.

Digital photography is ideally suited to accommodate a multitude of deliverables. Often it’s inconsequential to get multiple variations so that all needs are satisfied.

Along the way, I try to satisfy my own creative desires. Often, what I like is also compelling to the client.

When I want to go my own way, I also have my portfolio. That’s a photographer’s version of the director’s cut.

There’s always room to show my version of a successful session.
