“That’s far enough mister” is what I imagine this attentive dog would say to me with words instead of his eyes.
I replied to the implied order by stopping and getting my shot, then backing up.
That seemed to satisfy this vigilant sentry.
I’m not a dog person, but this fellow has my admiration and respect. He wasn’t there to watch the sunset. His job was to make sure that someone important to him could enjoy the moment.
This spot in Del Mar, California is the best place I know of to watch the light fade away as day turns into dusk.
