There were plenty of other intermediaries in the economic mix of daily business life. Remember travel agents? I had a great one. However, she was no match for a Google search and online booking.
Like it or not, Amazon has taken all of the money off of the table. I never hesitate to buy from them because if something doesn’t work or if I just don’t like it, I can return it with no questions asked.
A great camera equipment dealer is still a valuable resource, but few exist today unless it’s in a narrow niche. I still turn to KEH in Atlanta for purchasing used equipment.
