Often the hardest part of business travel is renting a car. Thanks to Uber and Lyft, I rarely find a need to trek to the rental car counter. This has improved my life dramatically.
Things are even better when I travel to a city that has great public transit, which improves the experience exponentially.

This shot was taken after an evening arrival as I emerged from a very deep station in Bethesda.
Night photography plus mass transit, minus the hassle of car rental is an equation for optimal travel.
