D.C. Alley

What do you want in a government? How about some of the following…

-A solid foundation.

-Strong materials to resist storms.

-Some breathing room.

-No visible trash.

-An upper echelon that’s still reachable with some effort.

-Variety that doesn’t impede form or function.


-Plenty of sunshine, which is a natural disinfectant.

This little alley just off of H Street in Washington, DC is a good parallel to my thinking. Sure, the place could use a little scrubbing but these brick walls and clean windows mean that it’s operating as intended.

That’s a win in my book.
