When I arrived in Lawrenceburg, Indiana last night there was just enough daylight to take a measure of the place on foot.
The place has a remarkable mix of strange and familiar.
My hotel was an oasis of comfort and modernity. The cost to be bathed in luxury was less than breakfast for two at my favorite hotel in LA.
The town was quaint but strangely depopulated, almost to the point that it could have doubled for a Walking Dead location.
The town’s bike shop, called Cyclops turned the eerie knob up to eleven.
On the whole, it was a great stay and I’m going to keep an eye on the town for future visits.
