Cowboy Poet

In a world that is culturally divided, what really counts?

There are no heroes in politics. Celebrities are the falsest of gods. The richest people still can’t take it with them when the coffin lid closes.

If you’re fighting about something conservative or liberal, the joke is on you.

Luckily, I found the answer to all of our problems. It’s art and I got a triple dose yesterday.

It came through the words of a cowboy poet. This particular one was in Salina, Kansas and he regaled me with his poetry while I made his portrait.

He goes by the name of Ol’ Jones. If you can find another one like him, pull up a chair and take a listen.

About the author: I am Stephen Kennedy, an experienced photographer with more than 2500 completed sessions in all 50 US states.
