Cool it on this word, please.
Is there such thing as a repetitive use injury for words? Maybe so.
At least this one isn’t as overused as “like” is in every conversation. It’s like, overdone.
I’m probably just as guilty as anyone with using cool a little too much when speaking. However, I barely use it when writing.
In the written form, the word tends to maintain its power. A building entrance in the Larchmont neighborhood of Los Angeles caught my eye with this word glued to the floor.
Admittedly it’s a cool neighborhood. I too was quite cool when I created the photo. Although that’s because it was nighttime and I had forgotten a proper jacket.
