Upon arriving in Cleveland a couple of weeks ago, I overheard some locals talking about the weather as we deplaned.
“Unseasonably hot” and “high humidity” were a couple of phrases that I caught. Those words mean something different to a Missourian than they do to folks that live in northern Ohio. As I exited the terminal to get my car, I realized that the predicted weather was actually perfect.
I arrived at my destination downtown to an ambient temperature of 85F and a cool breeze coming off the lake, I let myself slip into resort mode.
It wasn’t all play. I was there to work, so I didn’t indulge in any cocktails or beach attire. Getting paid to do a street portrait isn’t exactly hard labor but it does require all of my attention.
By the end of my allotted time, the client had a batch of photographs of their new hires and I had another favorable Cleveland experience to add to my growing collection.
