Popped collars are making a comeback.
So said GQ….in 2017.
According to Esquire, this style isn’t on a comeback track because it never left.
On a single Pinterest page, you can see 900 wardrobe ideas for this phenomenon. They also give an alternate description called “collar up” in case your puritan sensibilities might be stirred by the suggestive word “popped.”
Believe it or not, I never noticed the collar status of my subject until I was processing the files. If given the chance for a do-over, I wouldn’t change a thing.
Then again, I’m not an expert. There isn’t a single polo shirt in my closet.
