I often forget how my subjects can often be a bit anxious about what to wear for a photography session.
Gregory and I emailed back and forth on this topic.
I suggested that he wear what’s comfortable. He replied that what’s comfortable to him might not be right for the session.
My suggestion of “business casual” didn’t clarify things either. Gregory is an audio engineer and dresses for the studio.
That actually sounded perfect to me so I asked him to wear what he considered to be his work uniform.
When he arrived at the shoot dressed perfectly I knew that I got it right.
Our session in Hell’s Kitchen in Manhattan couldn’t have been better.
