Brick Row
This wall caught my eye as a background when I was working outside in Burlingame, California.
It wasn’t until I was in the post-production phase of the session that I noticed the intricacies of the brickwork.
Unless you’ve laid a course of bricks, it’s impossible to grasp the magnificence of this wall. My single attempt at this kind of work had a predictable outcome. I was barely qualified to clean up after the tradesmen.
That failed experiment gave me a great appreciation for the craft.
Creating uniformity is a lot harder than it looks.
