Bobby’s Bow Tie

In an informal survey that I just conducted in my head, 99% of bow tie-wearers are supremely suited to wear such an odd accessory. Like wizards and wands, bow ties clearly choose their wearers.

It’s self-selection that functions at its optimal best.

If there’s a sartorial club for this kind of look, I’m certainly never going to be invited to join. Don’t cry for me on this front. I’ve long ago come to terms with the matter.

The greatest bow tie wearer that I’ve ever met is Bobby Fields of New York City. I think this portrait will tell you why.
