That’s a statement that I’ve never heard spoken. Sure, I’ve heard people talk about riding bikes and getting coffee but not as a simultaneous act.
I think my experience is the rule, not the exception.
That may explain why this former bike/coffee business in New Orleans was closed and out of business. It’s too bad because the neighborhood and the retail space were quite nice.
It makes me wonder if someone ran this business as a passion project.
I happen to know a few things about the viability of passion projects thanks to nearly 40 years as a freelancer. But I also know that convincing people to buy into your dreams is the hardest path to walk.
It can be done and it can also be sustained, but it sure ain’t easy.
