Big Book, Little Camera

This coffee table book is as big as most coffee tables. I couldn’t believe the size, especially in comparison to my camera.

It resides in the lobby of a communications firm in Lower Manhattan and seems to have been opened only a few times. I was so busy photographing it that I never got a chance to turn a page before my meeting.

The fascinating thing about the book’s size relative to the camera is that the camera is capable of creating images that are bigger than the book.

Practicality aside, I know very few photographers that don’t love looking at big prints.

I know I do.
