Is there a more beautiful block in New York than Bryant Park?
The rows of trees. The manicured lawns. The tables and chairs, free and available to anyone that feels the need to sit down.
Walking through the park or just driving by can reveal an unbelievable visual feast.
In this session, all I did was show up and start pointing my camera.
First of all, I had an almost unfair advantage with this subject. As we progressed from the west side of the park eastward toward the library it became clear that the flower vendor had created a perfect set for this portrait session.
Not only was there a vacant table, but it was perfectly placed in the scene.
On any given session, I’m never expecting anything spectacular to take place. It’s my job to make things happen visually.
But when something monumental presents itself, I never say no.
