Art Uniform

The uniform that I was forced to wear at Catholic school had a purpose.

It was all about compliance.

Shedding those clothes upon graduation was the most satisfying aspect of completion.

Eventually, I made my way back to a uniform. This time it was on my own terms. The form and function of my look has a distinct purpose.

When I met Andy Saczynski for the first time, I noticed that the pictures of him in the studio showed him in a self-selected uniform. A patterned shirt that won’t show paint splatter makes sense for someone who paints throughout the day. Shorts for the Florida climate are practical too.

My own art uniform looked right at home on that gig.
