Art Lessons

-The only thing worse than a sore loser is a sore winner.

-I’m happy for those few people that start off in life on third base. I’m thoroughly unimpressed when those same people brag about their scoring prowess. It’s great when one can climb all the steps to the top. But let’s not forget who built the staircase.

-A perfectly curated social media feed looks nice from a distance but committed artists know that serious people don’t have time for trivialities.

-Most pithy quotes are hard to remember but I’ll never forget “trust but verify” as long as I live. Same for “I don’t read press releases” said to me by James Russell.

-There are only two games in life in which you can get something for free. Love and bingo. One is a game of skill and one is a game of chance. How you play each game is up to you.
