Arms Wide Open

It was only a few weeks ago that I was in Greenville, South Carolina for a commissioned project. That was the second time I’ve worked in that city and I found it to be a very agreeable place.

By the looks of it, there are 34 states that have a Greenville.

The one I’m most familiar with is Greenville, Illinois.

It’s only 50 miles away from St. Louis just off of Interstate 70 and it has an attraction that is hard to put into words.

Over the years I’ve done 8 or 9 sessions there including this one near the Carnegie Library. On a few occasions, I’ve just dropped in to have a burger or walk around the square.

The motto of the city is “Arms Wide Open” which seems to describe things in Greenville, Illinois perfectly.
