Answered Prayers

Did you know all prayers are answered? They are, and the answer is usually a solid no.

And that “Jesus take the wheel” business? It’s a losing strategy for practical and theological reasons.

I don’t know who was driving this Ford truck when the crackup occurred. But it’s still possible that some prayers were answered given the fact that the damage is cosmetic.

Shortly after taking this picture, I said a prayer of my own. “Please God, let me make it out of Mississippi in one piece.”

That was in April and I’m now home and doing fine.
