A Thousand And One
After I shot my 1000th self-produced stock photography session, I didn’t throw a party or pat myself on the back. The moment passed without fanfare. In fact, I was closing in on 1150 completions before I realized I had attained a four-digit number.
I didn’t see a need to memorialize something that is an integrated part of my life.
In September of 2017, I created my first blog entry for my new WordPress site. Upon realizing that my page format was set up to display 24 entries I decided to create a new one each day until I had that grid filled.
The next thing I knew, writing a blog post illustrated with my photography became a daily habit. From that starting point, I never missed a day.
Earlier this month, I noticed my tally for published posts stood at 990. That made me wonder if making mention of hitting 1000 posts would be an appropriate brag.
I decided that it wouldn’t.
But 1001 posts? That’s reasonable.
