A Study in Scarlet

Arthur Conan Doyle published his first detective novel back in ’87.

That’s 1887.

The sun hasn’t set on Sherlock Holmes. His adventures keep finding new audiences and are still going strong.

The first book in that series is called A Study in Scarlet. There’s something about the color word that strikes me as exotic.

Few things in the natural world are scarlet.

These leaves of the euonymus, in their autumnal glory, fit the definition.

About the author: I am Stephen Kennedy, an experienced photographer with more than 2500 completed sessions in all 50 US states.
