A San Diego Feeling

The weather at my home base in Missouri has been stellar over the last few days. We’re finally beyond the spring showers phase. It’s now the best time of the year to be outdoors.

I passed a neighbor on a walk today and we chatted about how nice it is to be outside. We agreed that it would be wonderful to have this kind of climate year-round. Sadly, those dreams won’t come true.

That got me thinking about places that come the closest to that ideal. Hawaii is the obvious candidate but not reachable for me with any regularity.

However, San Diego is and I’m lucky enough to find myself there frequently.

This San Diego session, with a guy named Dan, took place not far from the airport. The neighborhood is called Liberty Station. It’s a former military installation that’s been converted to civilian use.

It’s doubtful that the developers were thinking of me when they renovated the property. I wonder if they’ll ever know that their efforts pay dividends to me every time I visit with my camera.
