A Little Flair

I’m always on the hunt for that one intangible thing that sets someone apart from the crowd.

Sometimes it’s an unexpected or unorthodox use of a word. To me, that can really tell an enlightening story about someone’s intellect or life experience.

Most often it’s something that is visible in a person’s appearance.

We’re all in costume to a certain degree. Sadly, most of our wardrobe choices are made with conformity in mind. It’s not so much about blending in, but about not standing out.

I’ve found that people with the least to lose, such as those with wealth and status, are the most reluctant to demonstrate even a micron of flair.

Certain folks, who are either not yet burdened with manufactured responsibilities or are just flat-out rebellious, are the ones that catch my eye the most.
