A Better Bus

I started flying on Southwest Airlines with regularity in 1988 when I lived in Dallas.

Back then, the experience wasn’t glamorous. However, it was cheap and reliable. It still is today, which is why I’m so loyal.

Back then, the planes had a basic brown color scheme. Other than hiding wear and dirt, the look of the interior was very forgettable.

They’re no longer flying the short 737 versions. Now they have a fleet full of 800 series and Max models.

Their interior treatment today is a far cry from the desert palette. It looks more like a club than a bus. Looks are nice, but reliability is better. Now they have both.
