I just checked the thermometer and was surprised that it was only 93F. It felt like 100 as I enjoyed the heat with a book and a cold drink on my patio. Before settling in, I scorched my bare feet fetching the mail by stupidly walking on the asphalt without shoes.
All things being equal, I’ll take hot over cold any time. Sure, spring and autumn are more conducive to outdoor living but I’m not going to miss out in the summer months just because the mercury is high.
It seems inconceivable at the moment but just 109 days ago the very same back yard was attacked by snowflakes instead of searing sun rays.
I wonder if 109 days from now, on October 26th, if there will be a dramatic change from today.
Stay tuned.
