100 Degrees of Wyoming

While standing on this road in northwest Wyoming, I was struck by a few things.

-I’ve never been somewhere as quiet.

-The visibility was as good as anything I’ve seen while flying.

-The warmth of the summer day was better than a spa.

Yesterday I noticed that the temperature in Cody, just twenty miles from this location, was -19F.

That’s more than 100 degrees colder than the day I took this photo. I love Wyoming but I clearly don’t have the stuff required to be a year-round resident.
